We’ve all heard the stories about those who’ve struck it rich on the internet. The provision of information products is a booming industry, and a huge amount of it concentrates on telling people how to make money online. There are some methods that can be started up on a shoe string budget. I will use $100 as an imaginary budget to use on starting your own online business empire.  Let’s hope it will be enough!  How would you apportion your grand budget of $100?

Look at your own interests and hobbies and pick a topic you know a lot about and can write easily on. You can use a number of tools online and many of them have free versions.  I used wordtracker free version to start with but now have the full program.  Do your research to find a niche that has people looking for answers.

You have to source or produce a good and relevant item to sell from your webpage. The cheapest and fastest way is to rewrite a plr product that you may have purchased or grabbed from a giveaway.  Change the graphics too so that the product is unique to you.  The next easiest is to put together your own ebook. If this is something that you haven’t done before… but would like to… YourOwnEBooks may help.  Once it’s done, you can convert it to a pdf document for downloading using one of the free pdf converters.

Now you have a niche and a product work on some sales copy to sell your ebook.  Make it a story about how you can solve the problem that your visitor has.  Always talk “benefits” at the beginning, not “features”.  They come before you wrap up. Use a free wordpress site for your salespage.

To take payments you can use a buy now button from paypal. Paypal do not charge up front for using their banking. They make their money from commisons on your sales.

So you have managed to find your niche. Your own product is ready to go. The sales page is set up on wordpress and you have a way of receiving your payments. Have you noticed that I still have to spend your hard earned $100. Thats what I call “affordable online success”.  Good luck with it.

During an arduous and soul searching, long three days (Friday 8.30 am to 10 pm; Saturday 9 am to 11.15 pm; Sunday 9 am to 7.45 pm!) we learned, independently and jointly, more about ourselves than we have in years! Life skills that, despite our mature years(!) we either didn’t have or didn’t use. We’re now seeing the benefits in our personal and our business lives.

The secret seems to be… No. 1 do this course. No 2 do it with a friend or partner to achieve the most from it. No.3 review and then review again what you’ve learned and darned well put it into practice before you forget it. We’ve decided to review our workbook and notes again in three months time, so that we stay on track.
